| MULTIPLE ACTION STOPS: UNNAMED |
|
fwd edge - bkwd edge
|
|
Do a forward edge stop, except allow yourself to overrotate. As your body continues to rotate
past 90deg from original direction of travel, sweep what was your lead foot backwards, to lead
again. Sweep the feet as you would have in a backward edge stop.
Things that will help:
--Keep your feet separated (fore-aft) by a skate length.
--Squat a little
--Lean away from your skates (as you do in powerslides and other slides), allowing you
to use your edges to the fullest
--Start learning this trick at slow forward speeds; you'll need to get used to the
transition from forward to backward this tight while still having some net forward motion.
